Campus Living Village

Campus Living Village [Kelvin Grove] was designed to be more than a residential dormitory. It is a vibrant neighbourhood where people not only live, study and rest but also have places to meet, eat, recreate and relax. The housing meshes into the Kelvin Grove Urban Village which boasts multiple residential and commercial developments retail, entertainment and other recreation facilities. Campus Living Village [Kelvin Grove] consists of 413 beds spread across two 7 storey buildings with a landscaped courtyard between. The accommodation is a mixture of 1, 2, 3 & 5 bedroom self contained units, and the residents have access to centrally located communal facilities such as a laundry, cafe and resource centre.  The project also incorporates a number of environmental sustainability measures that will improve the comfort of the occupants and also reduce long term running costs of the building.

  1. To whom it concerns

My name is Tegan Apps and I’m currently studying architecture at QUT at gardens point. At part our architectural studies we are examining the Kelvin grove apartment’s buildings for students as an exemplar of perimeter housing of multi-residential living. I am hoping that you can direct me to the floor plans of a typical floor, sections, site plans, how services are delivered and the public/ shared spaces within and around the complex. And any other key sections or views of the urban section, individual dwellings the zones in-between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Warm Regards,
