Tomas has been engaged to design and document a new house on a riverfront block in North Bundaberg. The clients approached Tomas as they were keen to see unique ideas for the design of their new home, while ensuring that it was still practical in layout and utilising standard construction methods.The house wraps a central north-facing courtyard, which allows winter light into the living areas while allowing them to be orientated toward the river views to the south. The living areas are raised to the upper level along with the master bedroom to take advantage of these views and breezes, with the lower level comprising of three additional bedrooms and casual living spaces, as well as a large sheltered outdoor entertainment area.
